Ethel Brandon
Ethel Brandon, 97 of Hollywood, Ala., died Thursday, May 19, at her home.
Services were held Saturday, May 21, in the funeral home chapel. Burial was in Pinehaven Cemetery with Jim Skinner and Jim Thomas officiating.

Eula Gardner
Eula Mae Gardner, 79, of Gruetli-Laager formerly of Whitwell passed away Tuesday, May 17. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Gardner, sisters, Charlene and Lynn and parents, Lonnie and Ethel Morrison.
Left to cherish her memories are children, Bobby (Marsha) Gardner, Kimball, John (Sandra) Atwell, Jasper, Mell Atwell, Chattanooga; sister, Doll Reed, Iowa; brothers, Al Morrison, Robert Morrison and Sam Morrison, all of Gruetli-Laager; grandchildren, Lindsey, Bradley, Tawila, Talisha, Calvin, Phillip Atwell, Stephanie Cleveland, Susan Cantrell, Hershell Raines, Cindie Graham, Brandie Gardner, Alan Gardner, Brent Chambers and Stacy Chambers; great-grandchildren, Ashely, Isac Hamilton, Gracie Ryder, Courtney, Abby, Jovi, Sarah and Chase Atwell, Cory, Amber Cleveland, Joshua and Noah Cantrell, J. R. and Chole Raines, Jase, Jacob Kilgore, Zack and Autumn Chambers.
Services were held Friday, May 20, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Allen Griffith officiating. Burial was in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Chattanooga.

Sylvia Harveston
Sylvia Ann Harveston, 69, of South Pittsburg, died Sunday, May 15.
Services were held Wednesday, May 18, in the funeral home chapel.

Wilma Hoback
Wilma Sue Cash Hoback, 67, loving wife, beloved mother and cherished grandmother, passed away in a local hospital, Monday, May 9. She was born on Sept. 2, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Milburn and Lizzie Cash. She was preceded in death by brothers, Wilburn Cash and Alfred Cash and nephew, Mark Cash.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, David Hoback; daughter, Cindy Powers and son-in-law, Mike Powers, New Hope; son, Paul Hoback, and daughter-in-law, Dana Hoback, Jasper; grandchildren, include, Presley and Peyton Powers, Nathan, Nicholas and Greyson Hoback; sister, Eva (Dean) Pesnell; brother, Joe Cash and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Thursday, May 12, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Ronnie Case officiating. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.tatefh.com.

Mary Long
Mary Ellen LeVan Long, 81, of Whitwell, passed away Tuesday, May 17. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Peck” Long, parents, Charles Edward and Addie Mae Ellis LeVan, sisters, Ola LeVan, Dola LeVan, Ophelia LeVan and brothers, Reece LeVan and Martin LeVan.
Those left to cherish her memories are six children, Sherry (Ronnie) Barnett, Elois (Don) Edmonson, Denise “Tutti” (Rick) Stokes, Jasper, Larry (Deanndia) Long, Steve (Ingrid) Long, Whitwell, Angela (Gary) Weeks, Harrisburg, N. C.; brother, Homer LeVan, Great Falls, S. C.; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, May 19, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sam Long officiating. Burial was in Griffith Creek Cemetery. Please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Mickey Parker
Mike F. “Mickey” Parker, Jr., of Jasper, passed away Friday, May 6. He was a retired employee of the Marion County Highway Department, having worked there for 27 years. He was a member of Havron’s Chapel Church. He was past Master of the Masonic Olive Branch Lodge 297, Alhambra Shrine and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Madeline and Mike F. Parker, Sr., grandmother, Beulah Piercy and grandfather, Carter Neoll.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Quarles, and son, Michael Alvin Parker, both of Jasper; granddaughter, Savannah Parker, Salt Lake City, Utah; brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm and Sandy Parker, Jacksonville, Ark.; aunt, Peggy Morgan, Dunlap; niece and nephews, Monica and Shawn Underwood and great-niece and nephew, Madison and Cole Underwood, all of Kansas, as well as various cousins.
A masonic service was held at the graveside in Havron’s Chapel Cemetery followed by funeral services with the Rev. Jim Diehl officiating. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.tatefh.com.

Richard Pittman
Richard Pittman of Jasper, passed away Thursday, May, 19, at his home. Richard was the son of the late Kay and Gladys Curtis Pittman.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shoemaker Pittman; son , Ronnie Pittman; daughters, Cindy Ervin and Tracee Burnette; brother, Eddie Pittman; sisters, Alma Ruth Parmer, Wanda Hitchcock, Patty Gravitt, Carolyn Brackett, Brenda Miller, Margaret Muir and Charlotte Patterson; grandchildren, Allyx Pittman, Courtney and Austin Burnette, Christy Haynes, and Joshua Belk and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday, May 22, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ronnie Case and Bro. Roger Webb officiating. Burial was in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Jamie Muir, Jason Muir, Joey Pittman, Eddie Pittman, II, Michael Pittman and Trevor Morgan.

John Wilkerson
John Frank Wilkerson, 73 life-long resident of Stevenson, Ala., died May 17, at Big Springs Specialty Care Center in Huntsville, Ala. He was born May 10, 1938 in Stevenson, Ala.

Betty Jean Sexton Wilson, 75, of Guild, passed away Thursday, May 19. She was born in Marion County on Dec. 15, 1935.

Shelia Wilson
Shelia Nelson Wilson, 48, of South Pittsburg, passed away Tuesday, May 10. She was the owner and operator of Shelia’s Store in South Pittsburg for over 20 years and of the Baptist faith. Her special passions were her chipmunks, flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Roberts Nelson.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Ronny J. Wilson; father, J. L. Nelson, South Pittsburg; sisters, Bonnie Tucker, Valley Head, Ala., and Gloria (Jim) Richardson, South Pittsburg; several nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and special niece, Stephanie Jones.
